Approach

A vast mind, is a trained mind, whose awareness of inner and outer realities, enables us to take free, conscious, responsible and effective decisions.

Awareness allows us to break through our habbit energies, conditioned views and automatic responses, to access a more authentic part of our self: free, wise, creative and joyful.

It allows us to observe things as they are, free from judgments and prejudices resulting from our own life experiences or culture. From this space, we can really LIVE the life we have CHOSEN, in harmony with our deepest aspirations and values.

Approach

Theoretical Bases

My work is mainly anchored in two theoretical frameworks.

The systemic theory makes possible to consider each object in its interaction with a whole of which it forms part. A company, a team, a life story is an (eco)system that must be approached as such in order to grasp its complexity, mechanism, balances and evolutionary potentials.

The narrative approach considers that reality perception, as well as individuals, teams or organizations’ identities, are constructed through the stories that (we) are told about them.

My Approach

I act as a transformation catalyzer through my active presence and listening. I help my clients identify and formulate root problems and solutions, activating the power of language to generate insights while honoring the client’s responsibility, wisdom and freedom.

My role is also that of a translator / integrator between the different components of an organization, team or person (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual), helping them to achieve effective communication and cooperation. This entails learning to decode and encode the messages, taking into account everyone’s subjectivity and needs, and to discover how each of these components can best contribute to the system, expressing its full potential.

Narrative Approach

Narrative practice has been originally developed as a form of psychotherapy that enables individual to reconstruct their identities and thrive through exploring and finding new ways to tell their stories. It was developed during the 1970s and 1980s, largely by Australian social worker Michael White and therapist David Epston of New Zealand.

This approach has been widely used at a collective level as a sociological method, for example to heal and empower families, aboriginal communities tapping into their traditional inheritage or women groups, or to support national reconciliation processes in Central America (Guatemala and Salvador) and Rwanda following civil wars. It brings all relevant stakeholders together, allowing everyone to tell his/her story and be listened to respectfully, so that a new collective story can be woven, integrating the different views. It provides a solid basis for collective action, harnessing the emotional power of healing, recognition and stories.

Languages

I coach in English, French and Spanish.

I have also developed a particular approach to include others languages, based on the scientific recognition that the use of specific language allows to access specific areas of one’s personalities, opening new possibilities in the coaching work.
